How does Teleprompt Overlay work on Android?

Install from the official Google Play listing for package com.applifyer.teleprompt_overlay. Google Play is the source for the public version, supported devices, price in your currency, and current store terms.

The current internal Android beta is 2.0.5 (31), but it is not safe to describe that build as the public Play release. Check the store listing and your installed app instead of relying on a beta version number.

Allow the script to float

Android requires a system permission called Draw over other apps before an app can place a panel above another app. Grant it for Teleprompt Overlay, then position the script where it is easy to read near your camera lens.

You can revoke the permission later in Android settings. Without it, the app cannot provide a system-wide camera overlay; that is an Android platform rule rather than a setting the app can bypass.

Scripts, drafts, and version differences

The current Android beta meters free online writes. Earlier or public store versions can have different editing behavior, including versions where edits are not limited, so do not use a beta rule as a permanent statement about every install.

The shared content model currently has a two-active-script gate for manually creating a new script. Imports are counted separately and can exceed that active-script count, with up to 10 imports in the separate allowance.

Use it while recording

Set your script and fixed speed, allow the overlay, then open your recording app. The script panel is a display layer above the app; it normally is not part of the camera feed itself.

Screen recording and screen sharing can show everything visible on screen, including an overlay. Record a short test when the delivery method matters.
